In order to research the aesthetic properties of piezoelectric crystals and their light-reflecting properties I build my own video-microscope. By observing the way these crystals grow and manipulating them into all kind of different shapes, proportions and combinations I was able to familiarize myself even further with crystals as a medium for my art.
